Questions parents ask
Everything parents ask before ordering a diagnostic exam paper: which grades and subjects, what it costs, when a child writes, what arrives afterwards, and what happens if it turns up nothing worth fixing. If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp.
What this is
Is it all online?
Yes. Buy online, write at home, photograph the pages with your phone and upload. The report and video walkthrough arrive by email and WhatsApp within 24 hours. A printed copy can be couriered for a fee.
When does my child write?
Whenever suits you — there is no fixed date. Your exam environment and exam packet are available within 24 hours of payment. Set aside 3 uninterrupted hours, send it in, and the report follows within 24 hours.
Which grades, subjects and curricula?
Grades 10–12, IEB and CAPS. Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences (listed as Biology on the order form), Accounting, Economics and Business Studies — Paper 1 or Paper 2.
What does it cost?
A single paper is R299, or R249 each from three. Mark Recovery is R749: Paper 1, Paper 2 and a follow-up paper. Finals Ready is R1,990 for three subjects. Fewer than 10 recoverable marks on a paper and that paper is refunded.
What is in the report?
The mark and the mark in reach, why each mark was lost, recoverable marks by question, the concepts behind the losses, and a video walkthrough explaining what to fix first.
What if my child uses notes?
The report will be wrong. Treat it like the real exam — closed book, timed, no help.
Help after the report?
Every deal includes a follow-up paper built from the report, to check the marks came back. If the gaps are knowledge rather than exam technique, we recommend tutors who work from the report.
How do I reach you?
Chat on WhatsApp using the button on this page — a real person replies, usually within the hour.
Ordering
Can I order for more than one child?
Yes. Add each child with their own grade, then add the papers each of them will write. The volume discount is worked out across the whole order, not per child.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You give a name, an email address and a WhatsApp number, because that is where the report goes. There is nothing to log in to.
Which curriculum do I choose?
The one your child is taught. It is on their school report, or the school office will confirm it. The choice is made once per order, because a family is normally at one school.
How do I know which paper to pick?
Each subject is examined in two papers covering different halves of the work. The subject pages set out exactly what Paper 1 and Paper 2 cover, and a returned school test usually shows which half is losing marks.
How do I pay?
By card, on Paystack’s own hosted checkout. Card details are never entered on this site and nothing is stored for a second purchase.
Writing the paper
Does my child need a printer?
No. The paper is on screen and your child writes answers on ordinary paper, then photographs those pages at the end.
Can the paper be paused?
No. The clock runs once, because a paper written in three sittings does not measure what a three-hour paper measures.
What if my child runs out of time?
That is a result, not a failure. Questions never reached are one of the five reasons the report accounts for, and they are usually among the marks most easily recovered.
What if the photographs are poor?
There is a window after uploading to reorder pages or replace a photograph before the paper is sent. If something has gone wrong after that, message us on WhatsApp.
Can my child write more than one paper?
Yes, on different days. Each paper is its own three hours and its own report.
The report
What is a recoverable mark?
A mark lost with the right method behind it — an arithmetic slip, or working that stopped before the mark was earned. Those marks need a change in how a paper is written, not more studying.
Can I see a report before I buy?
Yes. A complete eight-page report is on the sample report page, from one real Grade 12 Mathematics paper.
Does a person explain the report to me?
A video walkthrough comes with every report and explains what to fix first. One-on-one consultation is available on request.
Can I get a printed copy?
Yes, couriered for R250 once per order, arriving in 3–5 working days. The digital report arrives either way.
What happens after the report?
You change one thing and measure again. A follow-up paper built from the report is included in Mark Recovery, and R250 on its own. Where the gaps are knowledge rather than exam technique, we recommend tutors who work from the report.
Money
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy papers one order at a time. Nothing recurs and there is nothing to cancel.
How does the guarantee work?
If a paper turns up fewer than 10 recoverable marks, that paper is refunded. The full terms are on the refund policy page.
Can I cancel an order?
Before the paper has been written, yes. Message us on WhatsApp and we will sort it out. The refund policy page sets out the detail.
