What Grade 12 is for

In matric the gap between what your child knows and what the paper records is the whole game. Prelims are the last full rehearsal before the National Senior Certificate examinations, and the last point at which a strategy problem can still be fixed in time.

The Grade 12 exam year

A Grade 12 year has three points where the paper counts, and a diagnostic is worth most just before one of them — early enough for what it finds to change how the next paper is written.
