What you are buying when you order a diagnostic exam paper, what we undertake to deliver and by when, what we ask of the pupil writing it, and how payment, cancellation and disputes work. Plain terms, in the order they matter.

Who these terms are between
They are between you, the adult placing the order, and Exam Diagnostics ZA, which operates mock-exam.co.za. By placing an order you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the pupil who will write, or that you have their parent’s permission.
What you are buying
Diagnostic exam papers for one pupil: a single paper, or a deal (Mark Recovery, 2 papers; Finals Ready, 6 papers). Every paper covers the paper itself, the timed exam environment, the marking, a feedback report, a strategy report and a video walkthrough. It is a one-off purchase, not a subscription.
Price. A single paper is R299. Mark Recovery, both papers of a subject and a follow-up paper, is R749. Finals Ready, three subjects, is R1,990. Individual papers for returning families are R299 each, or R249 each from 3 in one order.
What a deal includes. Both papers of each subject, and the follow-up paper, which is set once the first reports are back. A deal is for one pupil.
Courier. A printed copy of the report is R250, charged once per order, delivered in 3–5 working days.
Follow-up. A second paper built from the first report is included in every deal, and R250 on its own.
Currency. All prices are in South African rand and include any applicable tax.
What we undertake to do
Make the exam environment and paper available within 24 hours of payment. Return marks within 1 hour of a completed paper being sent in, and the full report within 24 hours, by email and to the WhatsApp number you gave.
If we cannot meet those times we will tell you rather than let the deadline pass quietly, and you may ask for a refund of that paper.
What we ask of you
That the paper is written as a real one: 3 uninterrupted hours, closed book, no notes and no help. The report compares what your child knew against what the paper recorded, and that comparison is meaningless if the paper was not written under exam conditions.
Give a working email address and WhatsApp number. The report goes to both.
Choose the right grade, subject, paper and curriculum. Tell us before your child writes if you picked wrongly.
Make sure your child has a calculator, a quiet room and a phone before the timer starts.
Do not copy, publish, resell or share the paper, the memorandum or the report. They are licensed to you for your own family’s use.
The timer
The clock starts when your child taps start and does not pause. It runs once. That is deliberate: a paper written in three sittings does not measure what a three-hour paper measures, and the report would be wrong.
If something goes genuinely wrong while your child is writing — a device fails, or the household is interrupted — message us on WhatsApp straight away. We will do what we reasonably can.
Payment
Payment is taken by card through Paystack, on Paystack’s own hosted checkout. We never see or store your card number. An order is only fulfilled once payment has been confirmed.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a paper that has not yet been written and be refunded for it. Once a paper has been written and sent in, the refund that applies is the recoverable-marks guarantee: fewer than 10 recoverable marks in a paper and that paper is refunded.
The detail, including how to claim, is on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.
What the report is and is not
A report is an account of one paper written on one day. It is not a prediction of a future mark, not a school assessment, not a psychological or educational assessment, and it carries no weight with any examining body.
The mark in reach is the same paper counted without the recoverable losses. It is arithmetic, not a forecast.
Nothing here promises any particular result in any examination.
The paper is set against the curriculum you choose, but it is not an official CAPS or IEB examination and is not endorsed by either.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other South African law. Where a term here conflicts with such a right, the law wins.
Changes and contact
These terms may change, and the version on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to that order. For anything about them, message us on WhatsApp, phone +27 81 519 8641 or write to jakobus@interflare.co.za.
